Wilkens has confined this deliberately not only to the most famous Heroes and gods such as Zeus, Achilles and Heracles, but after a meticulous search the many unknown figures such as Acontes, Erechtheos or Oxylus recorded in his dictionary.
To each of the mentioned names, the inclined reader will find an explanation and possibly a note on links to related persons. All names are sorted alphabetically, so that Wilkens’ encyclopedia is easier than to manage an Internet search, if you want to quickly look up a name for example to solve a Kreuzworträtsels. About the author
Harri Wilkens interested in since his early childhood to the Greek mythology. Because the amateur historian from conversations with friends and acquaintances knew that there is the need for a corresponding reference work, he has collected the probably most extensive for the German-speaking lexicon to the people of Greek mythology in labour intensive research work, which itself lasted over four years.
