Prof. Dr. Christopher Stehr (43) has been since October 2010 new Professor of international management at the German graduate school of management and law (GGS). He switches from the Charles University, International University in Karlsruhe to the GGS and now teaches courses in Heilbronn in the MBA.
Main topics
In teaching, Prof. Stehr deals mainly with the issues of international and intercultural management. His research focuses on the globalization of small and medium-sized enterprises and cultural strategies of organizations.
Institute of internationalization and global research
Christopher Stehr studied political science and business administration at the University of Munich. He wrote his thesis at the Freie Universität Berlin, for which Stehr academic Burse had a scholarship of the German-Japanese. He served as project manager and researcher at the University of Ulm, with the aim of a Habilitation at the Faculty of mathematics and economics. In addition, Prof. Stehr initiated an Institute for internationalization and global research in addition to the establishment of a management consultancy for globalisation.
International network
At the same time Christopher Stehr has made a name through publications on the subject of globalisation and sustainability, as well as through various activities in the area of knowledge transfer (e.g., exhibition design and consulting for the EXPO 2000 and EXPO 2005). By many travels and stays abroad (e.g. Brazil, Israel, Japan, Philippines, South Africa), Dr. Stehr was joined not only full language and knowledge of the country, but built up a viable international network of personal contacts with partners around the world.
